Come Join the SFV Jaycees for our January Speaker Series Mixer! This month, we will be meeting at Hamptons818!

Our special guest speaker will be Leslie Ivie, attorney at law and founder of the Restoration Law Center. Leslie was admitted to the California Bar in 2009 and has more than fifteen years of nonprofit experience. She has served the community since 1999 helping nonprofit organizations such as the Liberty Hill Foundation, National Immigration Law Center, Japanese American National Museum, and Inner-City Arts achieve their missions. She has also served as a trial attorney with the Law Offices of Los Angeles County Public Defender; a volunteer with the ACLU of Southern California Reentry Initiative (ABC^2) and the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, South Los Angeles Community Economic Development Unit; and as a USC Board Fellow with the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy.

The Restoration Law Center was founded in 2015 and is dedicated to protecting the right of every person to live a full and meaningful life. By building strong, sustainable and ethical nonprofit organizations and by helping individuals clear their conviction record, re-enter society after conviction, or fight criminal allegations in trials. Ivie and her team provide free and sliding-scale legal services through workshops, clinics, training resources, and even a mobile law center. Ivie and her thriving law clinic have been recognized by the County and City of Los Angeles for their amazing service to the communities of the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. As of December 1st, RLC announced that it has joined with the Obama Administration and companies from across the American economy as a founding partner for the launch of the Fair Chance Business Pledge.
